The Great Natural Frontier

We visit Corcovado National Park because it is a once in a lifetime experience for every visitor. This national park protects the largest old-growth rainforest in the Pacific side of the country and holds one of the most impressive biodiversity in the world. For nature Conservation, Corcovado is an encouraging example of the benefits of strong conservation policies in fragile ecosystems, which have managed to make Corcovado a stronghold for roughly 2.5% of the whole world’s biodiversity.

One of our local naturalists guides from the Osa Peninsula in a single-day excursion to Corcovado National Park.

During this hike you can expect to see some of the diverse plants and animals that inhabit the Corcovado National Park. From monkeys to macaws, lizards, frogs and with a sheer amount of luck, even Pumas, tapirs and wild peccaries. We meet at the early morning at either Puerto Jimenez or Drake Bay and then grab our land or water transportation to get to the National Park.

During the walk you’ll be able to connect with the heart of the jungle and your local guide, who will have a deep understanding of the trails and the life that inhabits them. There will be places to refill your reusable water bottle and to stop for short rests.
