Sample Itinerary

  • 6:15 AM: Pick-up and sightseeing drive of the lowlands and countryside of Guanacaste.
  • 7:00 AM: Suggested Breakfast Stop.
  • 9:15 AM: Arrival at the Park Ranger Station and walk of 2 hours of 3 km loop.
  • 11:30 AM: Break, snacks, and start of 15- minute walk to Oropendola Waterfall.
  • 12:30PM: Finish of the walk and optional lunch at Ranger Station or Traditional Restaurant 15 minutes away from the National Park.
  • 4:30 PM: Arrival to Avellanas Area.

Difficulty Level: intermediate (4km with ups and downs).
