A 2 hours sightseeing drive will take us to a destination that combines biodiversity richness, with fascinating geologic history and the pleasure of soaking in the unspoiled waters of a crystal clear waterfall.

Itinerary:

Meeting Point:

  • Your Hotel or Accomodation (Avellanas, Playa Negra and Junquillal Area)
  • Departures from Tamarindo and Langosta have an extra cost
  • Or other agreed meeting point on the way to the National Park

7:00 am – Pick-up and sightseeing drive of the lowlands and countryside of Guanacaste

9:15 am – Arrival at the Park Ranger Station and walk of 2 hours of 3 km loop

11:30 am – Break, snacks, and start of 15-minute walk to Oropendola Waterfall

2:45 pm – Finish of the walk and optional lunch at Ranger Station or Traditional Restaurant 15 minutes away from the National Park.

4:30 pm – Arrival to Avellanas Area.

  • Strap Sandals (Teva´s, Chaco´s, Keen´s, etc. We may walk in muddy trails and
    cross the estuary)

Avellanas Wildlife Walk

On Mondays, the National Park is closed

Difficulty Level: intermediate (4 kms. with ups and downs)

10-11 hours departing from Avellanas and Junquillal Area

Lunch is not included ($9-$15pp)

Breakfast Stop is not included but can be set up, if Pick-up is coordinated 30 minutes earlier and stop at Restaurant at 7:30am ($6-$10pp)
